Josie Payne

Josie has 20 years experience in the FMCG, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices industry where, as a board director of Beiersdorf UK Ltd, she was responsible for maximising revenue and profitability.

    Her particular expertise and passion lies in the area of people and organisational development. With a philosophy that, an organisation can only reach it’s full potential through developing and motivating its people.
    In 2000 Josie started the Business Consultancy Bruck Payne Associates in Royal Wootton Bassett. Building on a passion for developing people’s potential, Josie works to create a learning environment that enables individuals to develop existing skills and discover unknown talents; and by doing so, add value to the organisation and themselves.
    In the area of leadership development, Josie has helped clients understand the leadership qualities required to enable them to realise their company vision, and provided coaching, facilitation and tools such as 360° appraisal to encourage and develop their leadership qualities in line with corporate values.

    How she works

    Using tools and techniques such as C.B.T, Myers Briggs, 16 PF Personality Profile, Emotional Intelligence, Situational Leadership, Hogan BRIGHT & DARK side of personality and Action Learning she has worked at all levels to help improve the effectiveness of individuals, teams and inter-dependent teams, providing coaching on a one to one basis and facilitating group workshops. Josie currently leads a national executive coaching and mentoring group for CEO’s and Managing Directors called Artemis and Apollo for both women and men who aspire to be the best business leaders in their field. She has coached and facilitated executive, director and middle management teams to manage the introduction of major new cultural  change programmes as well as the implementation of Values into realistic behaviours that organisations rigorously adopt into every aspect of business life.
    In 2010 Josie instigated the Bringing Performance Alive in Education Programme at sixth form level. Having worked in industry for over 22 years she felt that there was a gap in young people’s understanding of themselves and what employers wanted in their work force. The programme continues to grow in strength each year.

Rachael Fernandez

Rachael has six years of experience within the Human Resources and Recruitment industry. This was founded in the Financial, Banking and Insurance sector and has expanded into the Hospitality, Events, Social Networking and IT markets over the years.

    Rachael attended the University of West of England in 2001, excelling in Marketing, Quantative Analysis and Human Resource Management. Following University Rachael was recruited by The Royal Bank of Scotland, who developed her skill set through training and integrated working in a variety of areas within the organisation. She found that her natural work preference leaned towards human resources and recruitment and was subsequently appointed to a position in recruitment and resourcing for clients such as Coutts Bank and the International Wealth Management sectors.

    Rachael left the Royal Bank of Scotland in 2005 and joined Bupa Individual Protection. Within this new role she became an accredited Bupa Train the Trainer and part of the Learning and Development Team, facilitating workshops for internal staff, developing fundamental skills in coaching and mentoring and working within the recruitment and interviewing team. In developing these skill sets her abilities were recognised as demonstrating leadership qualities and she was submitted for the fast track internal leadership programme.

    In 2008 Rachael took a career break to re assess where she wanted to take her next steps in developing her portfolio of expertise. It was then that she was appointed as a Senior Manager for Bruck Payne Associates Ltd. As a Director of Bruck Payne Associates heading up HR, Operations and Marketing and as a qualified executive coach and facilitator Rachael has developed coaching techniques and styles that have had significant effects on the performance of individuals and therefore on organisational success. She currently heads up The Lectureship Leadership Programme for the Stroke Association where she coaches senior GP practitioners and Consultants.

Sue Leffers (associate)

    Police Service, ensuring that ethical policing takes place, officers are recruited, trained and retained according to ethical values. Working for the Mayor of Police and Crime (MOPAC).

    Sue attended the Senior Command Course whilst performing the role at Wiltshire
    Police, of Head of Operational Support/working at executive level leading a mixed
    portfolio with responsibility for criminal justice, custody, information management,
    firearms licensing, disclosure, special property, administration, PNC, DBS,.
    Responsible for change and project management, workforce development, budget

Jason Chatwin (associate)

Jason is a self-employed learning and development specialist. He has experience in many sectors and specialises in helping managers to get the best out of their people.

    He is passionate about Coaching, Linguistics, Relationship-dynamics, and Pragmatic ways of solving problems. His experience as a Manager, Teacher, and HR Practitioner has set him up appropriately to really help managers navigate difficult challenges in their workplace.

Helen Koon

As our Business Development Officer and Inspiring Minds Facilitator, Helen facilitates individuals and groups of young people on the inspiring Minds, Inspiring Careers Programme, and supports the professional programmes of learning we offer.

    In 1994, Helen started her marketing career with W H Smith News. Her primary role was to optimise national, regional and local newspaper and magazine sales, through supporting Publishing Account Managers, by analysing data and its trends.

    Progressing into Petsmart in 1996, Helen initially took up the role of Junior Marketing Manager, where she continued to support national and local advertising campaigns to drive sales and increase market share within the pet industry.

    Excelling and demonstrating strong communication skills, with the ability to lead and the ability to organise, she was quickly appointed the role of Senior Marketing Manager, where she worked closely with public relations and advertising agencies. In addition, she led programmes such as Petsmarts School Tour and sponsored event such as the Royal Bath & West and The Royal Ulster Agricultural Show.

    In December 1999, Pets At Home acquired Petsmart. This organisational change motivated Helen further to establish herself in business as a business partner, in retail. Self motivated and sales focused, she has maintained her business for over 19 years.

    Branching out her skill set into education came with the arrival of her children. Recognising learning as a fundamental basic and acknowledging her childrens’ curiosity to learn, Helen went on to work in educational settings, including two of which are spoken and taught in cantonese and mandarin.

    To date, drawing from the mix of experience in business marketing, retail, advertising and education, Helen strongly supports Bruck Payne Associates values in being transparent, authentic and creative in all areas of learning.

    Currently Support Teaching & Learning qualified, she facilitates individuals and groups of young people on the inspiring Minds, Inspiring Careers Programme, and supports the professional programmes of learning we offer.
